Faction reps will meet with Rada speaker on Feb 14; no extraordinary session planned

Representatives of parliamentary factions have decided against convening an extraordinary session of Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada, member of Party of Regions faction Mykhailo Chechetov has said."The absolute majority - Communists, we, independent deputies and Batkivschyna - did not support the idea of the session because not a single bill is ready," he said to Interfax after a meeting with Verkhovna Rada speaker Volodymyr Rybak at which he represented the faction of the Party of Regions.

Chechetov said that the working group consisting of faction representatives has not worked out a document on constitutional amendments, the president has not nominated his candidate for the post of prime minister and the 60-day term of office of the previous Cabinet has not expired.He said that on February 14, faction representatives will meet with Rybak to discuss the agenda for February 18, when the plenary week of the parliament is due to begin.
