22-11-2007 18:09 President Viktor Yushchenko addressed people of Ukraine on occasion of Freedom Day
He noted that this holiday, launched by the Orange Revolution, is devoted to efforts of all sons and daughters of Ukraine, who during centuries struggled for its independence, justice and assertion of human rights.
"Ukrainian democracy is developing, we settle the most complicated problems in a peaceful and civilized ways, the authority is gradually learning to be responsible before the citizens and I am confident that this lessons will not pass without leaving a trace," the greeting message by the Head of State said. The President stressed that Ukraine will not wander from the democracy track, still the state and the people are faced with many important tasks. "We are obliged and able to assert clear, efficient and consolidating rules, due to which we will set proper order in the country. In the social dimension the task number one is to support public activity and self-organization for spreading values of democracy, unity and mutual understanding," the Head of State emphasized. Viktor Yushchenko is confident that it is time for citizens of Ukraine to realize themselves full masters of this country.
