Electricity supply to Crimea partially suspended

Ukrainian energetics yesterday suspended supplying electricity to the Crimea via Melitopol - Dzhankoy tramsmission line. Three other lines continue supplying energy to the peninsula occupied by Russia. This was informed, with reference to the deputy head of staff of the civil initiative to blockade Crimea Izet Hdanova, by "Crimea. Realities" on the website of "Radio Liberty"

According to the activist, earlier this week near one of supports of high voltage lines damaged by the unknown in the Kherson region about a hundred of participants of the blockade gathered. Due to this for safety reasons repair teams could not continue their work , because at the facility there were strangers.

Head of service lines of Zaporizhia electricity grid Igor Ladniy said in his commentary to the site "Crimea. Realities" that he supports campaign to blockade the Crimea, "but all should be done in civilized manner." Ukrainian authorities have not so far given official information concerning partial disconnection of power supply to Crimea.
