President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko welcomes the signing by President of the United States Donald Trump of a new package of sanctions on Russia.
"As we agreed in Washington, the Congress adopted the bill and President Donald Trump signed it into law. The sanctions also cover politically motivated project Nord Stream 2," he wrote on Facebook .
Poroshenko also said that the sanctions "will be in force until full liberation of the Ukrainian land and it is yet another confirmation of the strategic direction of relations between Ukraine and the United States."
