Rolling blackouts due to the suspension of anthracite supplies from the occupied areas of Donbas could apply to Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Zaporizhia, Sumy and Cherkasy regions, according to the statement of the government's press service after a meeting of the anti-crisis energy headquarters.As reported, the anti-crisis energy headquarters recommended the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to introduce a state of emergency in the power system of the country.
Anti-crisis measures in the energy sector are being prepared in view of the termination of the supply of anthracite coal produced in the occupied territories. On February 10 a group of MPs and public activists blocked the transport routes between occupied and controlled by Ukrainian government areas.
