Fifth session of Verkhovna Rada of 8th convocation starts its work

President Petro Poroshenko, members of the government headed by Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman arrived at the opening of the 5th session of the Verkhovna Rada of the 8th convocation. Foreword speech was made by Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy. Chairman of the Parliament called on all political forces to unite to confront Russia, which does not stop attempts to undermine the situation in Ukraine. The importance of political consolidation was also stressed in the annual address to the Parliament made by President Petro Poroshenko. The President called military threat from the east the most difficult strategic challenge.
