Border guards: 1,300 foreigners banned from entering Ukraine since late April 2016

"During the Border-2016 operation, which has begun in late April, the border guards have already detained 599 violators of the state border, 1,313 violators of border regime and 78 illegal migrants. Over 1,300 foreigners, who were deemed to become potential illegal immigrants, were not allowed to cross the border," said the official. According to him, more than 21 tons of contraband alcohol, 883,000 packs of cigarettes, more than 150 kg of amber, 13 kilograms of narcotics and 98 pieces of weapons were detected and seized during the same April to present period at the state border.
