One Ukrainian soldier killed, five injured in east Ukraine

One serviceman was killed in a sniper shooting on the eastern side of Avdiyivka. Five soldiers were injured near Maryinka and Mayorsk, Lysenko told a press briefing in Kyiv on Friday. He added that two civilians were injured during militants’ attacks. The combined Russia-backed separatists attacked Ukrainian army positions 46 times in the past day, according to the press centre of the army operation headquarters. They have intensified attacks on the southeastern government-controlled seaport Mariupol – 24 times in the past day. The militants keep using weapons banned by the Minsk agreements on ceasefire. They used infantry fighting vehicles, anti-aircraft twin-barrelled autocannon, heavy mortars, tanks, heavy machine guns and grenade launchers.
