US, NATO continue to assist, train Ukraine's military

According to Voice of America, earlier this week President Obama held a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in the White House, during which the parties discussed the Eastern direction of the Alliance's activities. "We continue to be united in supporting Ukraine, in the wake of Russian incursions into the Ukrainian territory. We continue to work in the training and assist fashion in helping support Ukraine develop its military capabilities, defensively," the US president said. Obama noted the United States continues to provide reassurance to frontline NATO allies, while working with Russia to find a resolution to the Ukrainian conflict and "reduce tensions and the dangers of potential escalation."
