Poroshenko, Biden discuss situation in Donbas, extension of sanctions against Russia

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry told about the details of his recent talks in Minsk. The parties agreed that for the implementation of a political part of the Minsk agreements, Russia should realize all the terms in the sphere of security. The interlocutors also agreed that sanctions against Russia should be extended till Russia implements the Minsk agreements in full. Vice President Biden assured of U.S. firm position on the non-recognition of Crimea’s annexation. In addition, Vice President Biden told President Poroshenko that the United States would allocate additional $335 million in security assistance, in particular, for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard and the State Border Service.
