The resolution was published at the website of HCJ. As we have reported, Crimea was annexed by Russia in March 2014 in violation of international law. The Council's resolution noted that specified in the recommendation of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine 277 judges from Crimea, who took the oath of a judge, holding office of judges of Ukraine under the applicable law, were appointed as judges of the Russian Federation, and by so doing they committed acts discrediting the judiciary and can call into question their objectivity, impartiality and independence, integrity and incorruptibility of the judiciary, violated the ethical principles of judicial conduct.
