Attorney General outraged by voting in Parliament

Attorney General Yuriy Lutsenko is outraged with the results of vote of the Verkhovna Rada held on July 11 on petition to remove immunity from several deputies of the Parliament.

For almost five hours, the parliament discussed the petition of the Prosecutor General's Office concerning the removal of immunity from Yevgen Deidey, Oles Dovgy, Andriy Lozovoy, Maksym Polyakov and Boryslav Rosenblat. According to the results of the vote, the immunity was removed from Dovgy, Polyakov and Rosenblatt. Removal of immunity from Deidey and Lozovoy was not supported. In addition, the Verkhovna Rada refused to consent to detention and arrest of Rosenblat and Polyakov, as requested by the Prosecutor General. And without this, the court can not choose a precautionary measure for them. "I'm indignant at this political and legal fact," said Yuriy Lutsenko.
