Poroshenko, U.S. congressmen discuss measures on de-escalation of conflict in Donbas

Meeting with a delegation from the U.S. Congress headed by Minority Leader of the United States House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, the President particularly stressed the important role of the U.S. Congress in supporting the independence and sovereignty of Ukraine, assisting this country in the enhancement of defence capability, reform implementation, and stabilization of economic situation. The parties discussed closer interaction between Ukraine and the US in cyber security, military-technical field, and the implementation of reforms in Ukraine’s energy sector. Head of the U.S. Congress Delegation Nancy Pelosi expressed solidarity with Ukraine and assured the President of further support from the US.
