Kyiv insists on immediate release of hostages in all-for-all format

The Ukrainian side has stressed at a Normandy Four meeting in Berlin that both the hostages held in occupied areas in eastern Ukraine and the Ukrainians illegally apprehended in Russia should be freed, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said at at a press conference after a meeting of the leaders of Ukraine, Germany, France and Russia in Berlin.

The participants in the meeting supported the idea put forth by Ukraine that the International Committee of the Red Cross should have free access to all Ukrainian hostages, Poroshenko said."We hope we'll have every reason to raise a similar question about those who have been remanded in custody in the Russian Federation," he said.
