October to be crucial for Ukraine in extending sanctions against Russia - Foreign Ministry

"We still have a few months when we all have to work for the same goal. The goal is the extension of sanctions. The [EU officials] could start the discussion in October. It is a crucial month for us, when we need to ensure continuation of the sanctions policy," Deputy Foreign Minister for European Integration Olena Zerkal said. She noted Russia has deployed a broad campaign in the EU member countries about the ineffectiveness of the sanctions. "[Russia's policy towards the sanctions] is quite effective. The [Russian side] release information on the economic losses incurred by the European Union in connection with these sanctions. This is a full-scale manipulation. It's not true," the diplomat said. The deputy minister noted a lot would depend on what kind of information policy Ukraine will conduct.
