Josef Biden arrives in Kyiv

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko and U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden in Kyiv on December 6 discussed reforms in Ukraine and the fight against corruption.

"The vice president of the United States noted that only more efficient, tangible and faster reforms can be a prerequisite for the successful development of Ukraine. In particular, the reform of the judicial system," Klitschko said about the meeting, the press service of Kyiv City State Administration reported.

According to the mayor, the international community are ready to help and support Ukraine, but "the democratic world wants to see the dynamics of real changes."

"Biden said that despite other global challenges, Ukraine remains the focus of the United States and the priorities for the support of the Ukrainian people do not change," Klitschko said.

The U.S. vice president congratulated the mayor on the reform of the police, the procurement system in Kyiv, and also noted the importance of continuing the fight against corruption in Ukraine.
