TRT International Radio Competition For the second year Turkish Radio and Television organizes in the city of Antalya international radio competition which this season got the name given to it perhaps by the very nature of the sunny Turkey – Turquoise. The competition categories and themes are being changed each year.
In 2007 NRCU submitted for the competition a program of Alina Akulenko “Ukraine-Japan: Nuclear Pain” about the Vocal Ensemble of Music School № 29, which in the course of one month staged charity concerts in different corners of Japan. During their concert tour in Japan the girls collected 30 thousand dollars, which later went to buy medicines for Kyiv Children’s Hospitals. The program was considered one of the best five in the category “Radio Documentaries on the subject of environment”.
In 2008 NRCU represented program “On the paths through the wood. Chornobyl 2008” by Mariya Babych. Unfortunately the program was not selected for the final.
