11-09-2009 15:15 Ukraine finishes third at 2009 World Women Team Chess Championship in China
The 2009 World Women Team Chess Championship has today ended in Ningbo, China, with three teams gaining highest scores (12): China, Russia and Ukraine.
With the additional points the winners is China, the second place went to Russia and Ukraine was the third taking the bronze medals. In the final 9th round Ukraine defeated Armenia 2.5:1.5. The final team standings: China-1 12 points (total - 21.5); Russia 12 (21); Ukraine - 12 (20.5); Georgia - 11 (20); Armenia - 10 (18.5); Poland - 10 (17.5); India 9 - 17.5; USA - 6 (16.5); China-2 - 6 (16); Vietnam - 2 (11).
