31-07-2009 16:31 Ukrainian singer holds the lead at international song contest in Jurmala
Ukrainian female singer Dzhamala has been ranked first on the second day of the New Wave International Competition of Young Singers of Popular Music in Jurmala, Latvia, after getting the maximum number of points from the jury.
Indonesian singer Sondoro Sandhy was also ranked first. After two days, Dzhamala and Sondoro Sandhy scored the same number of points - 238. The second position is occupied by another Ukrainian representative Mila Nitich, with a total score of 224 points.
