23-07-2009 17:17 Industrial Policy Ministry, World Bank moot energy efficiency, energy saving project
Serhiy Hryshchenko, the Deputy Industrial Policy Minister, has met representatives of the World Bank (WB) to discuss preparation of a project on energy efficiency and energy saving to be financed by the WB, the ministry press-service reports.
The main objective of the project is to ensure the country's energy security. Experts are now involved in studying the priorities for investing into energy efficiency and creating necessary conditions for funding energy saving projects. The matter first of all concerns ore mining and smelting and chemical sectors that consume almost 70% of fuel and energy resources of the Ukrainian industry.
