The International Monetary Fund has improved the forecast of inflation in Ukraine in 2009 from 16% to 13%, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko told a press conference Friday.
“If earlier it (inflation forecast) was 16%, after revision of the program it will be 13%,” Tymoshenko said adding the second revision of the program will make it possible to pass through the crisis with the least losses. Ukrainian inflation in June was 1.1% against May, 8.6% from the beginning of the year, 15% by June 2008, and 17.6% in January - June 2009 on the like period last year.
