According to Serhiy Hryhorichenko, the Chairman of the Roma Regional NGO 'Terne Roma', the activity program of the center covers various spheres of Roma life: education, health care, legal and social protection, culture and arts. In particular, the center will soon offer dress-making courses, driver courses, day-time children's room, computer classes. It is also planned to open a family practitioner office. The new center will also deal with sports and health improving activities. Apart from this, Roma churches are planned to be unveiled as well. S. Hryhorichenko says that not only Volyn Roma, by Roma people from all over Ukraine need both national self-identification and social adaptation. Since a lot of them still have no documents, they have not got appropriate education. All these problems are to be solved by the center. Roma people thank city authorities for opening of the center. Based on data of Terne Roma, there are almost 900 Roma representatives living today in Lutsk and almost 6,000 in Volyn region totally.
