24-06-2009 12:58 Ukraine pumps 1.1bln cu m of gas to underground gas storages in June this year
“Ukraine will successfully pay for this pumped gas as it had paid in April, May, by 100%, despite wild statements that preceded a final date of settlements”, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko told a press conference.
We shall remind, earlier today Gazprom CEO Aleksandr Medvedev stated that Russia refused to store its gas at the Ukrainian UGS due to their insecurity. In particular, according to him, about 8 billion cu m of gas disappeared from the Ukrainian underground storages. Ukraine possesses 13 underground gas storages with total active volume of gas at 32 billion cu m.
