18-12-2007 18:46 Yuliya Tymoshenko once again accused Government of Viktor Yanukovych of scaled corruption
She, by way of speaking in the parliament before voting on her candidature for Prime Minister, tied the failed voting on her candidature on December 11 with the attempt of the previous Government to withdraw Ukrainian assets abroad.
According to her, the national joint-stock company "NaftoGaz of Ukraine" is on the verge of bankruptcy, as well as central gas networks. In his turn, Viktor Yanukovych took the floor to accuse the previous Government of Tymoshenko, which was in office in 2005, of the economy's collapse, redistribution of property and undermining investors' trust in Ukraine. The ex-prime minister said the election of Tymoshenko as Premier will worsen political confrontation and negatively influence the social economic development, Mr Yanukovych said. According to his forecast, promises given by 226 coalition members will never be fulfilled.
