19-11-2007 17:20 European Commission to provide aid to Ukraine to diminish consequences of Kerch ecological accident
Head of a delegation of EU experts political counsellor Faouzi Bensarsa pledged Brussels's aid to Ukraine due to a fuel oil and sulphur spill in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov on November 11 at a meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister Kostiantyn Yelisieyev.
The EU experts will take a number of measures to diminish appalling consequences of the tragedy, notably the EU intends to hold an ecological study, he said. According to him, a delegation by the European Commission will arrive in Kerch.
