07-11-2007 18:04 President signs bill on criminal responsibility for denying Holodomor and Holocaust in Ukraine
This was disclosed by Viktor Yushchenko in an interview to the press. Before the bill is registered in the VR, Viktor Yushchenko means to address the VR, tackling all the historical moments of the Holodomor.
The head of state also stressed that the bill won't be directed against Russia. This step is against the totalitarian regime, which was in charge of the tragedy. Yushchenko pinned hope that the word community will sooner or later recognize the Holodomor in Ukraine as the genocide against the Ukrainian nation.
