26-10-2007 18:02 Ukraine suggests EU creating solidary pension system for legal immigrants from Ukraine
"We suggest creating a solidary system taking into consideration the employment periods in Ukraine and in the EU", minister of Labor and Social Policy Mykhailo Papiyev said.
The Pension Fund of Ukraine will pay for the employment period in Ukraine, while the employment in the EU will be covered by the pension fund of a respective country, " Mr. Papiyev noted. The minister also said that the Social and Economic Council of Ukraine and the EU's Economic and Social Committee have agreed on creation of a group to discuss these proposals.
