25-10-2007 19:45 Libya intends to consider bill "On 1932 to 1933 Holodomor in Ukraine" at next sitting of parliament
Foreign Affairs Secretary of the Libyan Parliament Suleiman Sasi Ash-Shahumi promised Ukrainian Ambassadors to Libya Henadiy Latiy to raise this issue into a question.
Mr Latiy admitted to importance of spreading truthful information about the 1932 to 1933 Holodomor in Ukraine and hoped the UNESCO states will support the resolution "On Holodomor in Ukraine". According to some data, the death toll of the Holodomor was 7 to 10 million people, 4 million of whom were children. The Holodomor was declared as the genocide against the Ukrainian nation by 11 states.
