22-10-2007 18:47 New transborder entity to be established within international commission "Yushchenko- Putin"
This was disclosed by Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Lavrov.The idea emerged at a meeting between Foreign Minister of Ukraine and Russia on October 18 to 19 in Belgorod, Russia.
The meeting also saw participation of leaders of transborder regions and representatives of frontier and customs services of both countries. We would like to establish another entity to support transborder cooperation with Ukraine. The Ukrainian party also supports the idea, Sergei Lavrov said and pledged to draft the relevant initiatives to forward to the government.
