Viktor Yushchenko thanked the village's residents for preserving the memory about Ivan Franko. As the Head of State reminded, the burden of Franko's works was national unity and concord. In an interview to journalists Mr Yushchenko said he supported the idea of creating a single national award of Ivan Franko instead of existent four ones. President Yushchenko also unveiled his intention to sign a decree to confer the national status upon the Cottage Reserve in the Nahuyevychi village and the Lviv Literature Memorial Museum of Ivan Franko. According to the President, a 100-volume edition of Ivan Franko works pending to be printed.
