31-05-2006 17:05 Kateryna Yushchenko, chairperson of Ukraine 3000 Charitable Fund Supervisory Panel met with America's First Lady Laura Bush at White House
During the meeting the two First Ladies discussed prospects of implementing joint projects, in particular, the project "From Hospital To Hospital."
The projects provide for Ukrainian hospitals' cooperation with medical institutions in Texas and Florida. Mrs Yushchenko informed Laura Bush about the Ukraine 3000 Fund's project, which provides for constructing a medical centre in Kyiv City for mothers' and babies' health. Besides, the two First Ladies discussed a set of events to commemorate the 1932-1933 famine's victims. On May 30 Mrs Yushchenko met with members of the Ukrainian community in Washington and visited the Georgetown University.
