A water level in Dnipro in 2010 will be the highest in 15 years, Department Head of the Institute of Problems of Mathematical Machines and Systems under the National Science Academy Mark Zhelezniak told a press conference.
According to him, an additional volume of water during snow and ice thawing 2010 will make up 7,000 cu m, while on average the additional level made up about 5,000 cu m. Although, the water level in the Dnipro in 2010 will be much higher, it will be considerably lower against large floods of 1979 and 1980, when the additional water level made up 10,000 cu m and 18,000 cu m respectively.
