The influx of direct foreign investments in Ukraine in 2009 totaled about USD 4 billion, says Maksym Ivanov, deputy director of the InvestUkraine national center of support for foreign investments to the Cabinet of Ministers.
"The real gross influx of direct foreign investments in Ukraine as of end-2009 (since independence) totaled USD 38-39 billion," he said. At the same time, Ivanov noted, this information is tentative, because official statistics for 2009 will be available by mid-February 2010 the earliest. The expert also disclosed the forecast of direct foreign investments influx in 2010, which is USD 5-6 billion.
