The Party of Regions says that the amendments fill the gaps in election legislation.  Removal of the norm that the work of district and precinct election commissions is possible only with a quorum of two thirds of the composition, including during opening of polling stations and the tally, guarantees that "people will be able to vote, and electoral commissions will be able to set the voting results." "This amendment takes force if any of the parties calls back its representatives thus violating the obligatory quorum of a district or precinct election commission," the Party of Regions' statement reads. The supporters of Yanukovych once again accused Tymoshenko of plans to "frustrate the elections," the wish to "delude the Ukrainians and the international community," and of staging "false exit polls" at the first round.
