A state flag raising ceremony symbolizes a country's team readiness for the Olympic games. 47 Ukrainian sportsmen will compete in 9 of 15 kinds of sports.

A ceremonial send-off of the Ukrainian Olympic team to Vancouver will be held on February 3 at the Ukrainian House.
