As the event initiators planned, famous politicians decorated the New Year's trees according to the concept chosen. After a short presentation, every fir-tree was put for sale, and the funds received were sent for charity - to one the orphan's homes in Chernivtsi region with 270 afflicted children. The President's New Year tree was decorated according to Ukrainian traditions and was named 'Harmony'.
