15-12-2009 13:45 Ukraine to join Energy Community Treaty
President Viktor Yushchenko has empowered Fuel and Energy Minister Yuriy Prodan to sign a protocol on Ukraine's joining the Energy Community Treaty.
Yushchenko earlier voiced hopes that a final decision to that effect would be made at the upcoming meeting of the EU Ministerial Council in Zagreb. Ukraine now has an observer status.
