13-11-2009 18:28 AeroSvit to operate An-148 aircraft on international flights by end of 2009
Ukraine's largest air passenger carrier AeroSvit will start operating domestically-produced An-148 aircraft on international flights by the end of this year, AeroSvit Director General Kostadin Botev has said.
He said that An-148 planes would conduct flights to Russia. AeroSvit began to operate An-148 aircraft on domestic flights early in June 2009. The company agreed with Antonov Design Bureau on the supply of ten An-148 and An-158 aircraft by July 2012. An-148 is a new generation regional jet. Its basic modification is designed to carry up to 80 passengers for a distance of up to 5,100 kilometers.
