The European Union should fulfil its obligations on the abolition of visa-regime for Ukraine and Georgia,Polish Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski has said.
The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine hopes that the European Commission will soon submit the legislative proposals to continue the process of abolition of the visa requirements for Ukrainian citizens, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine for European Integration Olena Zerkal said in a commentary to Ukrinform.
The European Parliament has called on the leading institutions of the European Union to continue the legislative procedure of Ukraine’s inclusion on a list of states for the citizens of which visa requirements are cancelled, reads a resolution adopted on Thursday by the European Parliament regarding agreements on association, including deep and comprehensive free trade zones with Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova, Ukrinform reports.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko called visa liberalization a top priority item of the agenda and expressed hope that the EU member-states will adopt positive decision on visa-free regime for Ukraine.
