President Petro Poroshenko has pledged to resume coal supplies from separatist-controlled parts in eastern Ukraine after they were blocked by volunteer fighting battalions, threatening the country's power supply.
Ukraine will be able cover own electricity needs at the expense of domestic facilities in spite of Russia’s refusal to supply electricity to Ukraine, Ukrainian Energy Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn told journalists on Wednesday, January 13, Ukrinform reports.
