Over 20,000 biometric passports are issued to Ukrainians daily. Interior Minister of Ukraine Arsen Avakov said at a meeting with journalists in Kherson, Ukrinform reports.
As of May 11, 2017, about 3.3 million citizens of Ukraine obtained biometric passports for traveling abroad, Spokesman of the State Migration Service of Ukraine Serhiy Hunko told Radio Liberty.
Some citizens of Ukraine residing in the temporarily occupied territories will be able to receive biometric passports, and the right to visa-free travel to the EU.
