The law establishing a mandatory share of 75% of the total amount for Ukrainian-language content on television was officially published in the Holos Ukrayiny (the Voice of Ukraine) parliamentary newspaper on Tuesday.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed a bill into law to introduce a 75% quota for Ukrainian-language content on television channels, according to the presidential press service.
The 2017-2018 academic years will be the Years of Ukrainian language in Germany and German language in Ukraine. This was announced at a joint press conference following the bilateral talks of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Ukrinform reports.
