Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed the bill on environmental impact assessment revised by the Verkhovna Rada, taking into account the proposals of the head of state, according to a posting on the president's website issued on Tuesday.
The Environment Ministry has begun carrying out checks of businesses that have licenses for economic activities with operations in hazardous waste management. This was announced by Ukrainian Environment Minister Ostap Semerak during an unscheduled check of the production capacities of MEGAEKOPROM in the village of Zabuyannya in Kyiv Region.
The Ukrainian parliament has ratified a protocol on the registers of emissions and pollutants – the database on permits, reports and audit materials in the environment protection area.
France is ready to assist Ukraine in the environmental development and share experience in creating “green” jobs, attaché for University and Scientific Cooperation of the French Embassy in Ukraine, Sylvain Rigollet, said at a press conference, Ukrinform reports.
