The Foreign Ministry of Turkey views the ruling of the Russian court to ban the activity of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, included in the list of extremist organizations, as an attempt to intimidate the Crimean Tatars, Anadolu news agency reports citing the statement of the Foreign Ministry of Turkey.

Washington expressed concern about the ruling of the so-called "Supreme Court of Crimea" to ban the activities of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People designated as an "extremist organization" and vowed to continue the sanctions pressure on Russia until it liberates Crimea, Deputy Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State Mark Toner said at a daily briefing in Washington, Ukrinform reports.
