The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has commented on the information that Ukraine could be temporarily excluded from the competition for banning Russia’s participant from coming to Ukraine.
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has decided to impose a three-year entry ban on Russian singer Yulia Samoilova, who has been selected to participate in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest which will be held in Kyiv in May, an SBU spokesperson said on Wednesday.
Over 14,000 tickets for Eurovision 2017 to be held in Kyiv have already been sold, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Vyacheslav Kyrylenko announced during an hour of questions to the Government in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.
