Top manager Volodymyr Shulmeyster: "The Ukrainian market is ready for appearance of new air carriers"

According to Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan one of such air carriers is newly created SkyUp airline that among other things, will be involved in low-cost transportation.

On December 14, the Infrastructure Ministry will announce the establishment of a national airline, SkyUp. In the Ministry believe that negotiations with another airline will also be successful, and Ukraine will probably have two new national airlines.

Earlier Omelyan repeatedly reported about the plans to create a new national carrier in Ukraine. For today, International Airlines of Ukraine (UIA) is the national carrier in the country.

SkyUp LLC was registered in Kyiv in June 2016. Its leader was the well-known aviation expert, who previously worked in a number of airlines, Yevhen Khainatsky.

The founder of SkyUp was ACS-Ukraine LLC belonged to Tetiana Alba and Yuriy Alba, who also own the JoinUp! tour operator.

Volodymyr Shulmeyster, head of the infrastructure department of the Ukrainian Institute of the Future, commenting on the topic in the program of the Ukrainian Radio "Today. It will not be difficult to compete if competent and structural people are involved in its control. We need to have a team to have an understanding what destinations to choose for flights. In six months, all this can be done. If a company aims to get profit, then it will not set prices lower than the cost. "
