EU to continue to help Ukraine, including in fight against corruption - Juncker

Speaking in the European Parliament on Wednesday, Juncker said he will do his best to facilitate the liberalization of the visa regime with Ukraine, but Kyiv needs to fulfil all the preconditions first. He also said the European Union supports the policies of Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko. Those who doubt EU support for Ukraine are mistaken in their belief Juncker said. According to him, Brussels has offered its support to Poroshenko and will continue its assistance. The European Commission president said that the EU has provided 3.4 billion euros in financial assistance to Kyiv, has prepared an agreement on energy supply, and is helping to conduct judicial reform. He said that the Revolution of Dignity last year not just about democracy and closer ties with the European Union, but it was also a protest against corruption. Juncker said that in its fight against corruption, Ukrainians can count on the European Union's help.
