Lutsenko does not rule out Muzhenko's interrogation

Attorney General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko does not rule out questioning of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko within the framework of the investigation of the case of explosions at the artillery depots in Kalinivka, Vinnytsia region.

He said this at a briefing on October 9.

"I think Mr. Muzhenko's interrogation will also be on this issue, but this is determined by the investigator himself, they have already got used to this position during my cadence, that nobody needs to ask about it," Lutsenko said.

As reported Ukrinform, on September 26, a fire occurred at ammunition warehouses in Kalinivka, Vinnytsya oblast, which caused detonation of ammunition. Because of the emergency situation in the danger zone more than 30 thousand local residents were evacuated.

It should be noted that the Military Prosecutor's Office of the Central region of Ukraine opened a criminal investigation into the fact of committing an act of sabotage on the territory of the military unit. At the same time, investigators investigate four major versions of the fire in Kalinovka.

Let's add, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense Affairs on October 4 during a meeting on the bombings in Kalinivka decided to appeal to President Petro Poroshenko to dismiss the Chief of Staff of the General Staff, Viktor Muzenko. The majority of committee members voted for such a decision, and two abstained.
