 Transcarpathian region gets revenues from tourism by third more than last year

Revenues from tourist fees to local budgets of the Transcarpathian region increased by 35% compared to the same period of last year.

This is reported by the Main Department of the State Fiscal Service in the Transcarpathian region.

According to him, these funds were paid by citizens of Ukraine, foreigners, as well as stateless persons who visited the Transcarpathian region and received services for temporary residence.

Most tourists come to Transcarpathia from neighboring regions - Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Rivne. In addition, many guests from major cities - Odessa, Kharkiv, Kiev and the Dnieper, with which there is good transport links. And among foreigners, the largest number of tourists are from Hungary, who are interested primarily in historical tourism.
