Appeals court allows retail sale of alcohol in Kyiv at night

As reported, Kyiv City Council banned the sale by retailers of alcoholic and low-alcohol beverages in the territory of Kyiv from 11pm to 10am in September 2016. The decision stipulated that the ban applied only to the sale of alcohol through retail outlets. The sale of alcoholic beverages and beer in cafes and restaurants at night was not prohibited. Prior to that, on March 17, 2016, the Kyiv authorities outlawed the sale of liquor in kiosks.
